| on my way to work, I'm driving past the line outside Flying Saucer pies. |

This was yesterday morning, actually - just getting around to posting now. |
| Anyway, I had mentioned this phenomenon in an earlier post. I took these pictures at around 8:30 AM - my understanding is that the line continues to grow throughout the day. |

I buy pies here occasionally, and they're great, but I've never waited in a line like this. I think it moves, though - that place is a pie-selling machine this time of year. |

Are they strictly pumpkin pies or do they have other specialties? I like cherry pies, myself. My grandmother used to make boysenberry pies, I didn't like them. I saw on a show once that a place back east somewhere had a cult following for their grape pies. I've never had a grape pie before. They were deep purple (as you can imagine) and looked almost like blueberry pie. I don't know what kind of grape you would use for grape pie. I guess a "baking" grape (whatever that is) just like you would use a "baking" apple for pies. I bet you didn't think I could comment so much about pies.

they gossa lossa pies -- all different kinds. But they all look like pies and they all fit in a pie box.
